So how do you find the right qualities to dazzle the recruiter?
Consult the job offer
The best thing to do to select the right qualities is to look at the ad.
In 90% of cases, this information is specified in the “candidate profile” section. This is where the company says what it expects from you.
Qualities are often soft skills, that is to say, elements that are unique to your personality. But you can also make a link with a skill.
For example, you can say: “I am a very organized person, who makes me a very good project manager”.
If no quality is mentioned in the ad, I advise you to go to Google and type the name of the position with job description.
Then, of course, all you have to do is choose the qualities that are most like you.
Illustrate your quality with an example
Now you don’t have to answer the question by citing a quality. You must prove it by illustrating your words with an example.
If you say: “I am a rigorous person”, that is only your responsibility. The recruiter doesn’t have to believe you.
To give away your defects, the task is a little more complicated. To avoid making a mistake, you should never give a defect directly related to the position you are looking for.
If you are running for a Head of Compliance position, for example, you cannot tell me “I sometimes lack discipline”. It is at odds with the position you are targeting.
Do not give a false defect
The most common mistake when talking about defects is to give a false fault.
I strongly advise against doing this. Recruiters hate it and it irritates them greatly.
How is it a defect to work too much? To be so involved in his work?
To be so perfectionist?
Do not go on this ground there. You have nothing to gain from it.
On the contrary, give a real defect and say what you are doing to correct it.
Give a false defect already corrected
I share, with you, a trick that works well and which consists of giving a defect that you had in the past but which is already corrected.

In this specific case, give you a real defect. You are not cheating. Talking about a corrected defect allows you to answer the question honestly without shooting yourself in the foot.
Choose a “limited” defect
To find a second defect, I advise you to find a defect that is limited in time or that applies in special circumstances.
